Wanding Bridge, which spans the boundary river of China and Myanmar, witnessed transportation of international aid supplies to China since the opening of the Stilwell Road in 1938. Seventy years after the Chinese People's War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, Xinhua journalists recently re-visited the Stilwell Road linking southwest China's Yunnan and Myanmar, also known as the Burma Road, on which guns, ammunition, food and other badly needed materials were carried by U.S. trucks to China to fight against the Japanese troops.
