Introduction
Nanjing War Crimes Tribunal of China was set up at Nanjing in February 1946. Shi Meiyu took office as the presiding judge and Song Shutong, Li Yuanqing, Ge Shaotang and Ye Zaizeng as the trial judges, Chen Guangyu as the chief procurator. Over the two years' trial, more than 100 Class B and C Japanese war criminals were put on trial. Of them, the trial on the chief war criminal Hisao Tani by judge Ye Zaizeng drew special attentions.
